Good Bye Letter

As I prepare to leave Enid I find myself thankful for all the town has given myself and my family. The friends we
have made here will last a lifetime. I would do a disservice without addressing the special people and times that
have made my last three years what they have been.
First I would like to address Rick Wallace. As the CEO of St. Mary’s he was instrumental in bringing our family to
Enid. I would encourage all my patients and friends to call him or write him to discuss the importance of keeping
doctors here in Enid.
To Krista Roberts who was the first to introduce Enid to our Family. She was the one who helped us to fall in love
with this great town. I would encourage you to write or call her to discuss the importance of providing a sustainable
and honest economic plan for incoming physicians to this great community.
To all my patients who have come by our office or have stopped me in the street I am deeply touched. I relate this
to showing up to your own funeral. You never realize the impact you have on people until the end. The love,
thankfulness and compassion I have received I would have never expected.
To Pastor Wade Burleson, Kevin Choate, Jerod McClelan and the Emmanuel Baptist family you have forever
changed our lives. With your love and grace you brought my wife, my daughter and myself to Christ. I encourage
our friends and patients to attend just one service to experience how your lives can be changed too.
To the Refuge service at Emmanuel Baptist. From Saturday nights to Sunday mornings our passion for Christ has
exponentially grown from your awesome worship services. We cannot thank you enough.
To Wess Gray and Cammeron Kaiser for capturing the passion of our lives here in Enid. Your gift of photography
will forever keep our moments alive.
To Nick and Amy Crafts we thank you for the warmest greeting and the friendship that has followed. I will personally
miss my lunches with Nick and the wonderful cooking of Amy.
To Dr. Tom Snyder I am grateful for your friendship. On the first day I met you, you forsake your patients to get to
know me. You have strengthened my walk with Christ and made me a better person and doctor. I would encourage
my patients to meet with Tom to discuss obstetrical and family practice care.
To all the staff at Bass hospital and St Mary's I will never forget the long days and the late nights spent together. I
feel such a deep closeness to you. I will miss you all. I must mention Tonya for all her grace she gave to me.
Our family is saddened to leave Enid and will miss you all so much. My children are excited to see their Daddy
again which makes this sacrifice worth the pain. We will continue to pray for you all and will miss you much.
Sincerely,
David, Monica, Emily, Morgan and Bennett Ferguson
